We are seeking an experienced Software Solutions Engineer for our core platform. We’re looking for someone who’s comfortable with a fast-paced startup environment and thrives when given the opportunity to take ownership of their work. You love hearing from customers and translating their needs and questions into great experiences with the product you build. At Phone2Action, you’ll be given important responsibilities from day one. You’ll help customers launch advanced campaigns, troubleshoot common issues, and make improvements to the product. Our customers are the reason we exist, and your work will contribute to ensuring our customers are successful.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with customers’ technical implementation of Phone2Action’s products, including web forms, embeddable widgets, and the Phone2Action API
  • Using data, identify trends in customers’ requests and questions, and identify corresponding product enhancements to address them
  • Communicating with customers and other stakeholders in response to questions and issues
  • Quickly qualifying and fixing bugs in the core Phone2Action platform

Qualifications

  • Experience with modern HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL. Bonus points if you’ve used frameworks like Laravel, VueJS, React, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity working with third-party systems via APIs
  • Familiarity with git/version control tools
  • You’re a lifelong learner. You thrive on new experiences and mapping uncharted territory. If you don't know something, you know how to learn about it from Google, Stack Overflow, and your personal network
  • Great at working in small teams. You collaborate well with others, and know how to take the lead when necessary
  • You delight in helping people achieve success
  • Detail- and design-oriented. You don’t deliver anything to a client until it’s perfect

Preferred/Other Skills

  • Advanced experience with PHP
  • Unit testing – frameworks like Jest, Codeception, PHPUnit, etc
  • Experience working with Salesforce, NationBuilder, MailChimp, or similar systems
  • A portfolio that demonstrates your ability to execute well-designed solutions for users’ needs
  • Proven track record. References that confirm your reliability, dependability, drive, dedication, and team spirit
