PHP Developer Onsite (NO Contract Or Freelance)
Carousel Checks prints secure financial documents for individuals, businesses and financialinstitutions, is looking for a full time, PHP Developer to join our IT team.
The primary job responsibility for the developer position is to provide PHP programming andfunctionality for a variety of consumer-related websites, intranets, extranets and web-basedapplications. You will be challenged on a daily basis to solve problems in new and creativeways.
A successful candidate will have demonstrable experience building real online applications in aLEMP environment and able to make a meaningful contribution from day one. You must becomfortable working with team members at all levels and departments within the organization.You must be willing to share your opinions and insights with business leaders in order to effectrapid decision cycles and effective technical solutions to business requirements.
Build safe, efficient, testable, and reusable code
Provides input into project technology issues and direction to their respective projectteam leads as appropriate
Manage versioning, provide estimates for work effort and time-lines, and documentsystems and processes to accepted standards.
Participates in code reviews as needed and as assigned by their respective project teamleads
Read and review functional specifications and mockups to ensure accuracy and developunderstanding of requirements
This position requires successful independent collaboration with others both internallyand externally
Be committed to the deadlines through follow up of tasks with team members.
Provide accurate effort- estimates for deliverables.
Develop high- quality Web software in a collaborative environment with a team oftalented designers and developers
Perform Apache/Linux web server, configuration, virtual hosting, log monitoring, andsecurity duties as needed.
Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or commensurate work experience
- 3+ Years in web development using PHP
- Strong understanding of OOP and Design Patterns
- Develop / maintain applications and Web Services using LEMP
- Experience working with ecommerce sites is a big plus
- Excellent communication, teamwork and problem solving skills
Demonstrated excellent analytical, decision- making skills and willingness to take on bigchallenges and solve complex problems
Advanced knowledge of Linux, Nginx, MySQL, Mercurial and MVC frameworks such asCakePHP, Laravel or Symfony.
Advanced knowledge of JS frameworks like Angular, ReactJS or BackboneJS .
Proficient in Web services / REST
Relevant W3C standards and best practices
Ability to translate business requirements into system design
Ability to partner and work in a fast- paced, collaborative team environment
Strong debugging skills and the ability to easily and quickly read and modify existingcode
Candidates must be self- motivated and require minimal supervision
